We are a service business and pride ourselves on our flexibility, but we do need set out certain rules which are detailed below.

Your booking is accepted subject to the following terms and conditions and by confirming your booking you accept that these terms and conditions will apply. 

Payment Requirements

  • Deposits can be made via credit card or bank transfer.

  • A minimum 50% deposit is required to lock in the date for a private charter.

  • The balance is payable in full no later that 4 days prior to date of travel via bank transfer, cheque or CC/Paypal (which will incur a service fee).

  • Join-In Public tours require full payment at time of booking.


  • Any amendment to your booking after confirmation can only be accepted subject to availability. Day Tours reserves the right to charge an amendment fee in respect of any change to your booking in addition to any other applicable charges in relation to the amendment.

Cancellation Policy

  • For tours cancelled 7+ days, we can charge up to 25% of the value of the booking.

  • For tours cancelled within 4 days prior to travel, we can charge up to 50% of the value of the booking.

  • For tours cancelled on the day of travel or within 24 hours of travel we can charge up to 100% of the value of the booking.

  • From the refund amount, if we have paid out any money this won’t be refunded (eg we pay a deposit to book wine tasting, which can’t be refunded, or a bus deposit which can’t be refunded).

Child Policy

  • Children are parent’s responsibility, strictly no drinking

Change of numbers

  • If numbers are changed within 4 day of booking this may incur a fee. If numbers are changed within 24 hours of tour, then full payment is still due.

Late policy

  • If you are late, then 1 or more wineries may need to be taken off the itinerary

  • Late drop-offs may incur a late charge of $100 per hour. This is particularly relevant when we charter bus and driver services

  • You are responsible for any charges levied by suppliers in respect to extra time in the event your booking does not run to schedule. Ie airport parking charges due to flight delays.

Touring Code Of Conduct

  • Persons causing a nuisance may be removed from the vehicle. Day Tours Pty Ltd will not be liable for any expense incurred by the passengers should this occur. Uncontrollable and disruptive drunken behaviour will not be tolerated. Wineries reserve the right to refuse service & entry. Disruptive persons will not be allowed on the bus. No alcohol consumption is allowed on our vehicles. No BYO food or drink is allowed in the wineries. Wineries do not have BYO license therefore you may not bring your own alcohol for consumption. Individuals are responsible for any damage inflicted on our vehicles or at wineries.


  • Day Tours has no liability for any act, omission or default, whether negligent or otherwise of any supplier. We have no liability for any loss or damage occasioned by the negligence, act or omission of any supplier or other third party. In circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the purchased travel arrangements.

Additional fees

  • Smoking on the bus will incur $500 fine

  • Vomiting on the bus will incur up to $500 cleaning fee

  • Spilling drinks on the bus will incur up to $500 cleaning fee

  • Extra hours outside the initial agreements are charged at $100 per hour.

  • Damage to property on the bus will be charged on a case by case basis

Other terms and conditions

  • We recommend all travellers have adequate travel insurance in the event of delay, illness and loss of property which may result in failure to join or complete our tour.

  • Pick up locations must be confirmed 12 hours prior to tour departure.

  • We accept no responsibility for passengers missing our tour if pick up location is changed, and we are not advised.

  • We accept no responsibility for lost or stolen property

  • Passengers must be able to prove age over 18 years for consumption of alcohol at wineries

  • We reserve the right to change the itinerary of a Join-In Tour as required. Our Join-In tour requires a minimum number of people to run. We reserve the right to cancel tours due to insufficient passenger number and a full refund applies. We will seek to place you on another tour.

  • All fares are in Australian currency and include GST (goods and services tax)

  • We reserve the right to use other bus operators for the delivery of the service. In this instance the terms and conditions in the files below are applicable.
