Proposed Itinerary

We’ll pickup you up at your location in the morning in our luxury appointed Mercedes mini-coach. We drive along the beach (no highways here), to the gorgeous seaside town of Mornington, the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula. Oh goodness, it's 10.30 am, time to enjoy some freshly roasted coffee while taking a leisurely walk through the streets. Think boutiques, art galleries, gift shops and gourmet stores.

Shortly after we’ll visit our first handpicked award winning winery. Depending on the day, it could be either Hickinbothan of DromanaYabby Lake or Crittenden Estate. We will be welcomed by one of our friendly hosts that will take you through their wine experience. These are iconic wineries synonymous with the best classic cool climate styles in the region.

For lunch, we will visit one of our friends at either The Green Olive or the Epicurean. Both establishments are award winning restaurants.

The Green Olive – described as a food lovers paradise, owner Greg & Sue grow olives, grapes, herbs and vegies, raise sheep, pigs and chooks, and turn this amazing produce and other from local farmers in a range of tapas and good food that will nourish your heart and soul. Here you can have a choice of some tapas dishes and a glass of wine. So many choices, including Vegetarian, Dairy Free, Gluten Free. Maybe go for some Lamb sausages with farm made capsicum relish? Or the the slow roasted pork open sandwich, pickled carrots, chilli salt sounds good? I don't know anymore, it all tastes so good and fresh! Here is The Green Olive menu so you can have a think about it and get your mouth watering until then.

Other days we visit the Epicurean. The Epicurean Red Hill is truly a significant destination on the Mornington Peninsula. As you enter, you can smell the on site roasted coffee through the air, the creamy formageria cheeses and the largest selection of tasting and bottled wines in the region. Homemade pastas, cheeses, cakes, spreads, conserves, sauces, and the best wines of each local sub-region are all available to take with you on your travels.

Our authentic, wood oven pizzas are prepared and served according to the traditional Napolatana style. This style means that our bases are cooked thin and ‘soft crusted’ rather than crispy. Enjoy with a glass of wine / beer or soft drink. Buon Appetito!

After lunch, a short drive and we’ll visit the coastal town of Flinders. Situated on the back side of the Mornington Peninsula, you will enjoy the sea breeze as it hits you. Here enjoy a stroll, and some artisan made chocolate at Mornington Peninsula Chocolates. Taste multi award winning delicacies using traditional French, Belgian and Swiss techniques, techniques perfected by working alongside the worlds most famous Master Chocolatiers.

On way home we stop by Moorooduc Estate , Pier 10 at Shoreham or Montalto Vineyard. Family run vineyards that have developed an enviable reputation for complex and food friendly wines. Our drive home takes us back through the rolling hills, back home to your hotel and dropped off at your preferred location in the city. A tour group photo is shared with the group post the tour to remember a day out with great food, wine and friends. The photo is taken with a professional SLR camera, the Canon 7D and shared by email for you to print.
